Metzgar, Stefano Land Major Award for Conemaugh Township Municipal Authority

HARRISBURG – Continuing their mission to help Somerset County residents, Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar’s (R-69) and Sen. Pat Stefano’s (R-32) efforts were successful in securing just over $12.58 million in grant and loan funding from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) to assist with Conemaugh Township Municipal Authority’s water quality project. Out of this allocation, $8.8 million is deemed a grant.

HARRISBURG – Witnessing the widespread defoliation caused by fall cankerworms and spring moths in the beautiful Somerset County area over the last two to three years, and after extensive discussions with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Rep. Metzgar Commemorates WWII Hero with Bridge Dedication Ceremony

CAIRNBROOK – Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar (R-Somerset) joined state and local officials, veterans and community members to dedicate a bridge in honor of Seaman 1st Class Raymond Kozik, a Somerset County native who gave his life in service to his country during World War II. The bridge, carrying State Route 1016 (McGregor Avenue) over Dark Shade Creek in Shade Township, will now be known as the Seaman 1st Class Raymond Kozik Memorial Bridge.
