Metzgar Takes Oath of Office to Begin 2020-21 House Session

HARRISBURG – Rep. Carl Walker Metzgar (R-Somerset/Bedford) took the oath of office today, Jan. 5, 2021, during the swearing-in ceremony of the Pennsylvania General Assembly held at the state Capitol.

Metzgar said he will continue to look out for the needs of the people and the local communities in the 69th Legislative District. Metzgar has worked hard to address issues impacting the area such as protection for law enforcement, business and job opportunities, and inheritance tax elimination.

“I am honored that the people of the 69th Legislative District have chosen me to continue representing their interests in Harrisburg,” said Metzgar. “I look forward to a productive session working to improve life for them, and for all Pennsylvanians.”
